What to bring?

CLOTHES

 

In our opinion, it is necessary in Kiel to have water proof clothes and warm winter jackets. We recommend you to bring them if you have.

Nevertheless, in some of our countries we don't have the weather conditions as here and thus our clothes don't have the technology for Kiel's weather. Therefore, you might keep in mind for your budget to buy special winter clothes here.

Also bring a couple of bathing suits and summer clothes if you will be here from May to August!

FOOD

 

Don't forget to bring food from home, you will miss that the most, specially on the first months while you get used to the food here!

It is also important for you to consider that many of commonly used things by you such as some chemicals (i.e., H2O2, sodium bicarbonate, etc.), medicines that don't need prescription, supplies, etc. might be difficult to find here.

 

It is difficult to provide a detailed list, but we recommend to you, try to find on the Facebook groups, someone from your home country (or nearby) with a similar culture or tradition, to ask about availability of such things here, as well as informing yourself if the entrance of certain substances is legal in Germany.
