If you need to send a package or a letter, then you can do it through the “Deutsche Post DHL”.

 

You can find post offices (Filialen) and post boxes (Briefkasten) around your area by using this website. You can do the same thing on an app called “Post mobil”.

Besides the regular post offices, there also little „DHL Paket shops“ that are often included as a part of Internet cafes, tobacco stores or stationery stores. Thus, they are much more frequent and their opening hours are often much more convenient than those of the main post offices.

 

In Germany (unlike in some other countries) there is only one type of post box. The post boxes are yellow, and no matter where your letter is destined to go you can put it there and be sure it will reach its destination (or just go to the post office).
